Things like that(file type pps) its the slideshows and pictures,the file doesnt open at all and keeps telling me to make an assocation folder in my outlook express? I dont know how to do that, i just know how to maintain a computer and run my virus stuff.Please help me cause people send me all this stuff and i would like to read it them and people say its not normal to not be able to open them.

You need to buy Microsoft Office separately. It includes all those programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

do you have microsoft office???
powerpoint and excel - are not a gimme with Windows XP
gotta go the extra distance $$$ and buy them
but the Service Pack has upgrades for them

You may not have office tools such as word, power point, excel.
Download openoffice software from the link
http://www.openoffice.org
Then open with it.
