My friend gave me an mp4 player and when I set it up in my computer......?

it said that there were no bytes available. What should I do?
How can I delete whatever is in my mp4 player so that I can add my own music and my own dvd's?

It should give you an option to format it. Go to my computer while you have it pluged in and right click on it and view your options.
