A web cam?
What should be included?

We have an older computer, Compaq Persario, (do not have a dvd reader with it, just a cd writer and plays cd's) do I need to look for something on my computer that will allow a webcam to function?

I have NO clue what to look for, or uderstand on how it works, and ANY serious advice will be greatly appreciated.

I need to replace my onboard audio because it crackles. I was looking at the old audigy 7.1 by creative labs but people have complained about their mic not working? This is a must because I game and yell at people. (noobs). What's a good card I can get for around 50 bucks that from ear or experience you KNOW it's amiable (friendly) towards microphones. Thanks for your help!

I've found a card ( Nvidia GeForce 6200 256MB) and uses an AGP slot. But I have no idea whether it will fit into the AGP 2.0 slot my mobo has. Any help is appreciated.

My sound card is Creative Audigy 2 ZS and sounds won't work i disabled onboard sound in my bios and still no sound i uninstalled my onboard sound drivers somtimes when i boot my computer up i hear the startup sound but then no sound is this sound card very crappy?Anyone who answers thank you and i really just had this problum just then and before my onboard sound worked.

I just bought, This LCD Monitor ...

It comes with component video, but when i plug my Xbox into it, it has no Sound, No colour, and has lines on the screen.

My Xbox has the Yellow/red/white plugs, and the Monitors are Green Blue and red.

What do i do here? do i need special "component" parts?
what do i do about the sound?

I just got a new monitor, the samsung 226cw, and I have a dell 1800fp. Up until now, I had been using my hp f1703 with my dell in dual-monitor mode (two desktops). However, after installing my driver for the 226cw and removing the hp, my computer only sees the Samsung and not the dell that is also attached. I have a 7600gt, and it has been fully updated. I have tried reinstalling drivers, but nothing works. They both use DVI. Nvidia control panel also only sees my Samsung. Any ideas?

In some places I found PEN drive is the term and nowadays I am hearing the term USB flash drive. Is there any difference between Pen drive and Flash drive. Hoping for the best reply at the earliest.

SyncMaster906BW widescreen? it is hooked into a 7900GT evga graphics card with a DVI cable and I ran the CD that came with the monitor and still nothing!?

i got this new computer, and it has a headphone jack at the front. speakers are plugged in the back and they putput sound perfectly. shouldnt using my headphones be as easy as plugging it in?
ive already tried unplugging my speakers and then plugging in my headphones. still nothing.

for some reason
i get disconnected when i go to large citys like ironforge and stormwind
but my computer's ram and it's internet should be able to handle it and much more

My laptop often overheats and I wanted to increase the fan speed. The automatic controller is apparantly not working well since the computer will often "trip" and turn off due to excessive temperatures. Thanks!

When I turn my computer on, it works great for awhile. But then all of a sudden it slows sown dramatically.
(I'm talking about having to wait for letters to appear after I type them).
I'll restart it and it works fine again.
I do all the usuall cleanups, virus checks, defrag, etc.
Any thoughts on the possible cause and cure?

All of the icons and such are bigger than they used to be on my computer. They're not like, gigantic, but I'd say the fonts are probably two sizes bigger than they were and the icons are probably about twice the size they were. Earlier today, the moniter on my laptop went completely blank. My dad had to take it apart and do something with the wires to make the screen come back up. Now, all of the icons, text sizes, etc are bigger than they used to be. I've already tried changing the resolution in the settings tab of the display properties. That wasn't the problem, so I don't know how else to change it. I have an HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop with Windows XP on it. It's about a year old, if that information helps.
