I just got a new monitor, the samsung 226cw, and I have a dell 1800fp. Up until now, I had been using my hp f1703 with my dell in dual-monitor mode (two desktops). However, after installing my driver for the 226cw and removing the hp, my computer only sees the Samsung and not the dell that is also attached. I have a 7600gt, and it has been fully updated. I have tried reinstalling drivers, but nothing works. They both use DVI. Nvidia control panel also only sees my Samsung. Any ideas?

try setting it back to 1 monitor system
unplug the samsung.
just plug the dell in by itself.
reboot and see if it detects the dell at all
if it does, then reset it as a 2 monitor system and plug the samsung back in. see if its detected

if it doesnt then plug the samsung back in and reboot. you shouldnt be stuck with 1 monitor. good luck.
