A web cam?
What should be included?

We have an older computer, Compaq Persario, (do not have a dvd reader with it, just a cd writer and plays cd's) do I need to look for something on my computer that will allow a webcam to function?

I have NO clue what to look for, or uderstand on how it works, and ANY serious advice will be greatly appreciated.

No. Any webcam you buy will come with the necessary software to run it. All you need is an internet connection
