I just bought, This LCD Monitor ...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2825269&CatId=2775

It comes with component video, but when i plug my Xbox into it, it has no Sound, No colour, and has lines on the screen.

My Xbox has the Yellow/red/white plugs, and the Monitors are Green Blue and red.

What do i do here? do i need special "component" parts?
what do i do about the sound?

Yes, you need a special component cable to make this work. Yellow/Red/White is for "Composite" connections. The yellow is video, the red and white are for left and right audio. Your monitor may have this composite connection as well, but you won't get HD video out of that connection. The HD component cable will have Red/Blue/Green for video, and then the same two Red/White for audio as before.

Component video is three seperate Y, Pr, Pb signals all for the video.

It sounds like you have Composite video out (yellow) and stereo audio (red and white).

The monitor does not look like it will take composite video, so you need to find a way to get your X-Box to put out either a VGA signal or a component video.

For the audio the monitor looks to have a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack. So you need a cable that has that on one end and whatever connector(s) the X-box has on the other. Prepare to be underwhelmed by that 3W of audio, coming from undersized speakers facing the wrong way.
