i created and then deleted a partition on the C drive and now it is unallocated space. How do i get this back to the primary C drive like it was before?

Computer shuts off but fan still runs?!?
i left winamp running over night. usually fall asleep to it. when i woke up in the morning my moniter had power showed the "self test" screen. my computer was still running though. lost video to the moniter. what would cause this. previouse computer would have no probs with this for over 2 years. i installed a new mobo/cpu and power supply and since then i had to reformat windows a couple times. got the BSOD. just recently reformatted it.


so techs whats it sound like to you? a crappy mobo? processor over heating? ram issues? hd issues?

Yeah its plugged in correctly. and no oter vid cards. it has onboard shared memory.

My kids have been on the PC and for some reason all the icons on the desktop have been duplicated 7 times also the mouse is highlighting about 12 things when i'm just clicking on one, Ive tried restarting it but its the same, whats going on???

I have a few Dell Dimension 4600's and some old 15" CRT monitors. I want to get the most money possible for them but I'm finding out most people don't want to pay much at all for used computer equipment. I tried Craigslist and advertising them in our newsletter and will probably put them on eBay, but wanted to see if anyone knows how to get the best return on our investment for this equipment. By the way, I'm not using this forum to advertise them, so please don't make offers, I'm just looking for marketing suggestions. Thanks.

I have a problem with my hard drive and I want to check that the device is receiving the correct voltage from the power unit.
I also want to check that the device itself has continuity (unbroken supply) Could someone please describe how this is done using a multimeter: explaining firstly the correct colour coded high point and low point wires to be probed and secondly multimeter configurational settings for the task.Please could you describe the operation in detail as I do not want to damage anything including myself.

My new computer keeps shutting down and leaving me with a blue screen of text saying problem with hardware or software instalation. I had the suppliers change every bit of hardware and check all installations, but it still kept shutting down. After the third callout I demanded a brand new CPU. They eventually obliged, now I've had my new CPU for a week and it's shut down on me 3 times already.
What could the problem be??
What should I do next??
