If you do not want to purchase a new cat 5 cable as the others are suggesting for various reasons, you would then want to buy an RJ45 coupler.... They will run you about $1-15....
Go the website below and type in RJ45 coupler in the search engine...
Now you will get some signal degradation but not to the extend that you will be impacted.... I use these when I have to install a crossover and the network drop is behind a filing cabinet.... A great tool to have....

you need to in no way purely connect them, the performance drops heavily. both purchase a CAT5 (rj45 butt connector, this helps the relationship of two rj45 plugs, or extra healthful a cat5 rj45 socket to at least one cable and plug the different in or if both are unterminated extra healthful a socket to each and each and every and use a patch cable between both.

Well, your best bet is just to get a longer section of cable. That is if your run is less than 50 feet. If it is greater than that, I recommend setting up a switch, hub, or router.

Heya dude,
Generally if you pop into your local computer store or gadget store, there are small adapters that basically link two RJ45 connections into eachother.
Remember however that you should keep the length under 100M or else data loss may occur.
