I have DSL. Currently running wireless. No recent changes, except leaving PC on for several days at a time now. Before I shut down after every session.

I was thinking of buying a Macbook Pro for Christmas, however, I want to buy it once they release an updated version of it, not buy it as it is approaching the end of its cycle. Might Apple have a new / updated Macbook Pro out for the Holidays or probably not before then?

ok i just reacently baught a MAC OS Leopard Desktop and i't has time macine and everything but it's connected to my linksys wireless router so i need it to connect to my laptop in order for my laptop to have internet i have windows vista on my laptop but how do i connect my mac internet to my vista laptop.

i have a wirlesss box which provides my comp n laptop with the internet.
but this past week my laptop keeps d/cing its self for no reason when im simply just browsing the web. and then i have 2 set it all back up agen and i dont know why.
does anyone have any idea's why?

I accidently spilt some liquid on it could that be why it keeps bleeping at me on start up and turning on from hibernation mode
also the volume decrease key now doesn't work and i can't turn the volume down though the rest of the keyboard functions perfectly
what do i do the laptop is an acer travelmate 2000 and a few years old (so out of any warrenty)

Tech help said that because it beeped 3 times when I powered the comupter that the RAM has failed, so I'm about to replace the RAM on my emachine. What else am I going to need to do?


Will I need to restore the operating system or will replacing the RAM fix the computer?

I am considering purchasing an HP dv2500t laptop. The laptop will be used by both myself and my girlfriend. One of the options for the laptop is a fingerprint reader.

Will this fingerprint reader be useful if both of us are using it? Can it read two seperate fingers to login/access programs?

Problem :I need to unstick my laptop's power button.

More info: I have completely worn of the hp logo on the power button. I can see a blue light that is directly in the center (underneath the bower button of course) Also, I see this small, round, whitish, looking pad of to the right. Can I simple pop up the button and put the round circle thingy on top of the blue light?

I have a brand new laptop with one of those friggin divided drives ( done for safety, blah blah). It runs vista, which I like fine. The drives are labled OS and Data. The problem is with the OS. When I got the unit that drive was nearly full already. I tried to install all programs that didn't come with the computer on the data drive but you still need a certain amount of space to operate the computer. I deleted some unneeded programs like Roxio disc creator which took up a lot of space and deleted and reinstalled some programs to the other drive. This seemed to help a bit. The thing is if i do the littlest thing, like install desktop weather ( which incidentally will not run properly) the free memoryt is just sucked up. Its not a big file at all. The space available went from 700mb to 32mb! WTF! Do you tink its Vista causing te trouble? Should I look into getting vista replaced wit Xp? Help!!!

OK so I got tired of doing everything I could to make my slow 768 MB Dell Inspiron 1150 fast again. I did all the stuff people told me to do. Like defrags, disk cleanup, AVG anti virus, ad-aware, ccleaner, spybot s&d, turning off the screen saver and wallpaper, changing the system settings to "adjust for best performance, reinstalling Windows, etc...you name it I did it but my pc was still slow... so I did an experiment by putting it in the freezer for 20 minutes and to my amazement it worked...now my laptop is fast again and streaming video doesn't pause every other second anymore...but then after less than an hour it gets slow and I have to repeat the process...so what could be wrong with it and why did it work?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A205 and I wish to play City of Heros without the excessive amount of lag. The game claims that I do not have the most updated video/graphics card and I was wondering if someone could help me find what would work best. i bought a new HP laptop with windows Vista, i currently have my "old" laptop with Windows XP both Home edition... my new laptop has double the feautures as my old one.. Double the RAM and Hard Drive Memory.. should i keep the new one and sell the old one, or sell the new and keep the old? i know Vista has a lot of issues with programs thats why im wondering, thankz

What I have already tried .....Disk cleanup, reinstall windows XP, msconfig, CCleaner, Disk Defragment. This all began when i did a system restore and then undid it. I have for protection CA Security Center and I like to daily update and scan for spyware. .......
But no my laptop runs to slow to even do a scan or open Internet Explorer......Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think I changed the battery by accident while it was on or something. Now it won't start and it makes a grinding noies. There are also three lights that light up and have pictures of tiny locks underneath them. I really need to get work done so I need to fix it. HELP!!
