Turn it off quickly, Take it apart as soon as you can big thing if you can't take it all the way apart try and at least separate the screen from it usually a few screws and a ribbon cable, Get yourself some DENATURED ALCOHOL and straight FLood that whole thing with it and let it sit for a min or two and dump it out, Do that 2 or 3 times, and then let it dry for a hour or two, YOU MUST MAKE SURE IT IS DENATURED ALCOHOL!!! Rubbing alcohol will eat the protective coating off the circuts printed on the motherboard and destroy it, you can buy denatured alcohol at any walmart or hardware store, it is a little pricey about 10-15 dollars a pint depending where you buy it from, but will save you from buying a new laptop in most cases...

I have done this and it works, remove the internal keyboard (Disconnect it from the MB), hook up an external keyboard so you can still use the computer.

Now disassemble the internal keyboard (Alot of little srews), wipe it all down with a light damp clean SOFT cotton cloth (Be careful of the plastic membrane contacts, soft and gentle) Use compressed air in a can and lightly blow off the excess, repeat with lightly damp cloth until all residue from spill is completely gone. Allow to dry for 24 hrs (Do not use a hair dryer to speed up the process), then reassemble, and see it it works. If this fails to work you can look for a replacement here: for $29.95

Hi. You can mute the sound from the main volume control. "Start> All programs> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume control." Mute everything and see if the beeping stops. Experiment with turning some sounds back on. All of you volume can also be controlled from here.
