HP pavilion ze5170 sticky power button?

Problem :I need to unstick my laptop's power button.

More info: I have completely worn of the hp logo on the power button. I can see a blue light that is directly in the center (underneath the bower button of course) Also, I see this small, round, whitish, looking pad of to the right. Can I simple pop up the button and put the round circle thingy on top of the blue light?

I am guessing from your question that your power button is stuck in the on position. You said the logo has worn off. Are you sure that the little white thing you see to the right isn't the bottom of the logo sticker and it has came off and slid down beside the power button causing it to stick?
