Laptops & Notebooks - February 2007

I have a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite A105-S4094). I am currently trying to write files onto a CD but it wont work. When I put my blank CD in (I am positive it is blank), I try to open it but a message pops up and reads:

D:\ is not accessable. Incorrect function.

What does that mean? Usualy at my regualr computer, I can easily just open the blank cd, drag what I want onto the cd and then burn the files on. Help?

The first one is 900 and the second one is 750. I probably would play games like Warcraft 3 and all. I'm not sure if 288 MB of shared memory would be way better than 128 MB of shared memory. Does 2GB of RAM help the laptop perform much better than 1GB of RAM for Vista Premium?

it works if i hit it in the middle of the bar, but if i hit on the sides it wont work..did i just not put it back on right? do i need to take it in somewhere to have then put the key back on proper? it is so frustrating..

I'm buying my friend's 5 yr old Toshiba laptop.

hi, i have a lenovo 3000 c100 and it has currently 512 or so of ram, and lenovos site offers at max 1 gig, but if any one knows of a company (like hp or dell) that would have a memory upgrade for it. if therre isnt any please dont recomend a better laptop, i feel fine with mine.

i just bought a dell lattitude with an intel mobile pentium proccessor(233mhz) and i want to put a intel pentium 3 proccessor(800mhz) but im not sure if the computer can handle it. I just got it this week it is a gateway dual-core processor, 100 gigs, 1gig ram. and if i listen to my windows media player at the same time that i go online. everything goes blue and the computer restarts. then when it starts back up it says windows not shut down properly..problem: blue screen. so what does this mean? my first assumption was that it has overheated. is there a way to tell what temp. my comp is at so i know when to stop running so many things at once? please help e-mail me if needed
