No, its a piece. if you build one yourself, you could make something decent for about $600.

Building a computer is not hard at all. Its just a little intimidating at first.
These would be some good parts for $480, leaving $120 for a case of your choice and a copy of windows:

That computer is abysmal, the RAM is below the minimum requirements for Vista, meaning you won't even be able to run it. 512 megbytes is the very minimum for running Vista. Also, the graphics card, the SiS mirage, is also very bad, and you won't be able to see any of the new effects that are included in Vista. If you really need a cheap computer that can run Vista, look here; http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=DDCWBA1&s=dhs

That computer has enough RAM for Vista, and can do all of the effects. Also, it includes Vista Home Basic.

Well This computer won't be able to ram windows vista because it doesn't have enough memory
to run windows vista you should have at least 1 gb of memory
but the processor speed is pretty good

Buying a computer at WalMart is like going to your butcher when you need your tonsils taken out.

As suggested, you can build your own computer at a great price getting only what you need now and you can upgrade it later when necessary.

And don't bother about Vista just yet. It's going to be buggy for the next while.

ask walmart if it's vista ready. If they say it is then you don't have a problem. Why go for vista already? you'll spend the next few months doing all Msofts beta testing and have to pay for the privilege. Wait until it's a proven system.

Vista is out already. If you want it you should concider buying another computer rather than buying an already outdated one and spending extra money to upgrade. There are other computers out there for similar prices that already have vista.

the pc is simply pathetic / appalling to say least

why should u pay twice
mean u're paying for win xp - pro with the pc bundle
now u wanna pay extra for vista

xp too will be slow after a few months ... vista's gonna gulp it in no time

an utter waste of money ... best give u'r preferences & budget !
