yes, but you need to have a modem, wireless card or 10/100 Ethernet card to hook up to (depending on how you connect to the internet)

That depends on a lot of factors.
Do you have dial-up or high-speed internet?
If you use dial-up, do you have a modem in your computer? If you use high-speed, do you have an Ethernet card?
Dial-up requires that you install your ISP's software onto your computer so it can dial into their servers. High-speed is quite easy; just plug the Ethernet cable in and it configures itself.
Also, if you have high-speed internet, only one machine can be plugged into the high-speed modem at one time, unless you purchase additional equipment.

Your computer is so old, but you could buy a wireless card or an external modem for phone. But I'd save my pennies and get a new laptop.

you dont pick IE7. I downloaded it even as it first got here out and it completely screwed up my computing device, so I had to flow lower back and reset my settings to production unit settings. I lost each and every thing because of IE7. and certain I have an XP.

It is really time to get a new laptop. You will be glad you did. Make sure you get Vista (it should come bundled with the laptop)
