If you have a new laptop and you want to install the Yahoo Messenger on it, how do you get it on the laptop? My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite series with Windows Vista. I just got it a couple of days ago and since the Vista is a new system and all, maybe some people could help me understand it a little more... and I am sooo confused beyond words!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

To be honest. Windows Vista is used a lot like Windows XP but the things are just named differently. When you go to www.yahoo.com install windows XP version and see if it will work. Im sorry If i am of not much help. I have limited knowledge of how to use vista myself.
or better yet take shortyxxs advise lol.

I've yet to use vista, and I doubt Yahoo! Messenger works on vista yet, or has a capable version that supports vista.
In Yahoo! Search bar, try typing "Messenger for Vista."
If the search yields results you can probably dowload a version suitable for you.

Ok just go on http://messenger.yahoo.com/ for 8.1 version. If you want the version that only works with windows vista go on http://messenger.yahoo.com/windowsvista.php;_ylt=AheFJtAARnAoqxPAdIkZvhNwMMIF but 8.1 works with vista too. The new one is just a little better with vista.Hope this helps. And I'm not a computer nerd I'm a regular guy who likes sports.

you do it the same old way you always did ... by going to Yahoo's web site and downloading the messenger.
