(continued Question) , Intel Core Solo processor T1350 (1.86 GHz) , or Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2050 (1.60 GHz)
i dont know wich one to get because i am fixing to get a laptop.

Hey,
I got a 512mb of memory the otherday during the infamous 'black friday.' Well, I did not do my homework like I usually do (being spur of the moment). I went to install it and the notch is about .5mm off. Now, part of me says "just do a little 'altering' "... however the sensible side of me says this is for a reason. The memory is a PNY PC2700 (notebook DDR333)... my computer is a thinkpad t60. The IBM site seems to say that the proper type is PC5300.
Now, though it may be obvious these are not compatible, I want to be sure it is not possible alter the physical memory, or if there is anything that can be done.
Worst to worst I figure I can sell it online; I got it at a respectable price. Even if opened, it is new.

I have a Toshiba S15-S479 laptop with a cracked screen and a broken internal DC input plug. Can I put it's components into a desktop case (with desktop power supply). It has an external monitor output.

I need to play splinter cell double agent, and I need an nvidia 6200. Problem is, I have a laptop. The graphics card and mother board, are, well, the same board; so I can't play this $50 amazing game I just bought. Any help or links to download sites would be greatly appreciated! :)

For some reason I have no available free disc space on my hard-drive. I have a toshiba satellite lap top and keep virtually nothing on my laptop. I have no available free disc space on my C drive. I have deleted and removed unused files, programs, temp files. The only program I have running that takes up memory is iTunes and Microsoft works. Anyone have any advice about what could be eating up free space?

My best friend had one, and he said the quality was horrendous! First the hinges wore out and got sloppy, and then the keyboard quit working right..he replaced the keyboard, and it lasted about a year before it went bad yet again...and then screws literally started falling out of the case. Towards the end, he said he had to hold it together with his left hand in order for it to work at all. The worst part; this laptop never left his house! He swears he would never buy another Dell again. I was wondering, have others had the same problems with Dell quality (or lack thereof)?

I wanto to buy a laptop, and Gateway seems to have very good laptops, but I was told it isn't a very good brand. So, if somebody has a Gateway, could you tell me the truth about these computers, if they are good or bad, if increasing the memory is possible for laptops, etc.

Apologies if this has been asked many times before...
I spilt tea on my Acer Aspire 3102WLMi laptop keyboard about three days ago...very stupid i know! As soon as it happened i tipped tea out and keyboard seemed to work for a few hours after but next day the keys weren't working (but weren't sticking). Everything seemed to be fine except for the keyboard, however this morning I switched laptop on and about 2 seconds into loading a really loud alarm noise came on and laptop froze completely. I was wondering if anyone has any information on what this noise is, or any tips to help laptop dry out?? Can it be salvaged?! Thanks!

I am buying Sony Vaio laptop for Christmas, my girlfriend just purchased an Apple Macbook Pro. She has the built-camera in her computer as do I on the new Sony. She can video chat with her friends that also own new Apple computers,and it looks amazing. Is there any program that we can use to video chat between a PC and a Mac with the stunning video clarity between the two people chatting. Vidoe chatting on the Mac looks like full-motion video with no stopping or pausing.

I will be attending college in the Fall, and I was just wondering what is a good laptop for me. I heard that the Dell e1505 is really good, but is there any other that can match its greatness? I recently purchesed an Acer laptop, but it didn't arrive in the mail yet. I never heard of an Acer laptop until I found it online and bought it. I found out a lot about the laptop before I bought it and it is a good laptop.
