all rechargeable batteries should be completely discharged before recharging, they should also be completely recharged (4 to 6 hours never leave it plugged in for longer or it will also deplete the batteries ability to hold a charge) before use otherwise it depletes the amount of charge the battery will hold. another tip if you are using a cordless drill or cell phone and you need one more use from a dead battery you can hold the battery in front of the heater vent on high heat and get one more use

How long have you had the laptop?
If you have had it for a long time its battery made be to old and you should buy replacement one from their official website.
If the laptop is not old then it should still be under warrenty and you should ask for another battery for free etc

You should also check the power saving settings on the laptop i.e. on my laptop you have the choice to use the black lights which really eat up the juice. So it could all be down to that =-)

When you bought it you should have charged it and discharged it completely, this should have been done 3 or 4 times so that the battery could "learn" its capacity.

because you are using your laptop always with your battery on and at the same time you are charging it i guess your battery is dead for ever

is it brand new????????????? If it is it would be a corrupt battery the battery probable needs to be replaced
