I have a PC that is connected to a cable modem and a broadband router. The router sends a signal to my brother's room so he can go online, as well as to my Apple iBook G4, which has always automatically detected the network and gotten online with ease.
Yesterday, I came home and popped on my PC to play a game. I received a messge onscreen stating essentially that my network was down. This happens periodically when we go through a power fluctuation, as it resets the router/modem. Usually, I just unplug the router for a few seconds than, all is well. However, there was no sign of a household power flux (reset stereo clocks, etc.). Regardless, I reset the router and all was well. Later I was online via WiFi with no problem (on Apple).
I put down the Apple, and when I returned, there was no signal on the Airport icon. I have yet to be able to connect with my laptop since. My PC is fine, however. Any thoughts on what happend and how to fix it? I have a Linksys-g router.
