when i put my laptop on; it gives me a 301 error (ibm thinkpad) i found on the net that this is a keyboard error. i spilled a little coke on the keyboard the other day, but yesterday the machine was just fine. could you tell me:

1)how to troubleshoot this error?
2) what is the worst that could happen?

Sounds like at least one key is sticky. Coke (or any soda) will do that. Carefully remove the keys in the area of where you spilled it and gently clean with a Q-tip and alcohol. The worst that could happen has already happened - you cannot use the laptop.

If its under warranty rush to bandra kurla complex, in the sevice centre, dont tell him u spilled coke, just say i dont know whats wrong.

Dont mention the coke spill or the warranty will be void.

it would want to reason shortcircuit. Had it been dried thoroughly previously switching on, probable it would have given regualar service. Please take it to the service midsection and get the damaged factors replaced.
