I just yesterday received my PC parts and got to work putting it together.
The system is using an ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, AMD Athlon 64x 3000+ Processor, 2x nVidia 9600GT, and a Western Digital 320GB HDD.

After connecting anything, I booted it up for the first time, and entered BIOS. I configured everything and went to "SAVE AND EXIT", and the PC rebooted. First the main logo appeared (Allowing me to press DEL to enter BIOS), and then the screen went all black and gave me this message. I put my WinXP DVD in, pressed enter, and after a few seconds the message reappeared. Whats wrong?

Additional Information:
In the BIOS, the boot setup is set to Hard Drive, CDROM, Removable, Disabled (I have no floppy drive). It was origionally CDROM, then Hard Drive, but that didn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

My computer keeps warning me that I have limited disk space on my C drive. There is a WINDOWS folder in this drive holding a great deal of information, however, my computer warns me that I cannot rename or delete these system files. Besides that folder, the others are quite small and my D drive has next to nothing in it. Is there anyway to tell what I need in the WINDOWS folder? Can these items be compressed or altered in away as not to take up so much space?

Thank you for your help.

how come when i go to system requirements lab and see if i can run a game,at the bottom where it says the results it says that

Your driver version number is: 6.14.10.6734

Your video card driver version is provided for your information, but it is not part of this analysis. But proper video card driver versions are important to the proper operation of your product.

so i click on the free video card update, but it takes me to AMD's website.but i already have the latest catalyst version 7.11 so why is the driver out-of-date?and where can i get the latest one?thanks.

I tried to upgrade my ram thinking all PC2-5300 versions were the same but my mobo only recognized it's original PC2-5300u ram. The RAM's specs were:

PC2-5300u-555-12-E1

I was also wondering if the last 2 characters had any effect so I know what to buy, THX!

I have the solid amber orange light on the motherboard and on the power button I looked around and tried everything nothing fixed it.

there used to be a Intel Pentium 4 processor in the motherboard but I changed it and put in a Intel Celeron D into it. Could this be the problem?

When I turn on the computer, nothing happens but the fan moves and the solid amber lights. nothing on the screen.
the led lights on the back of the computer (ABCD) are all off.

What do I have to do to all fix this?

I was told that if I turn off my computer whenever I'm not using it, it'll last longer..by one person..........then I was told by another person that if I do this, it'll waste my memory and actually make my computer get problems sooner.......So which is right?....What I've been doing since I bought it is just close the browser & leave the computer on...letting it go into sleep mode on it's own.......thanx..........DreO

I'm running Windows XP and every time I reset the clock/calendar (at the lower right hand corner), a few days later, it resets to 12:01 01/01/2001. Is there an internal battery I need to change or does my computer have a virus?
