Add-ons - December 2006

Well I have a pendrive (512 MB), don't know what the company is, bought it off Amazon so no software came with it. I love my pen drive but the problem is that the folders I put in it look very plain. I don't know how to add that personal touch that I have on my PC. I've seen people put awesome backgrounds on their pendrives. Does anyone know how, or if there is any software available that will allow me to customize my pen drive, like changing the icons and stuff. Thanks in advance.

Trying to install a printer to my laptop but don't know very much - especially all the names of bits and pieces, All went well until I had to enter which port I was connecting the printer to - a great long list to choose from which meant nothing to me. It's a very common one, I have 2 at the back of the laptop, one above the other and I use the multiple thingy plugged into one, to add on different things - mouse, keyboard,etc. the other one is for the modem. What are the 2 ports called??? Thanks

Flash player 9 does not seem to download to my computer it says it has and when you check add/remove programs you see the flash player program but no bite size

Comp is a Dell optiplex SX260, Very Compact, No expansion slots. Cam is a Sharp Viewcam VL-NZ50U. Cam ONLY has firewire out. Comp has 6 usb ports, 3 of which are open. Is there an adapter of sorts, or some way to transfer the vid to my comp? Please help.

i'm very computer illiterate. i want to burn a dvd on my shrink. the target device dissapeared. i don't know if its from someone else messing with it or what.....but its not there. how can i add the drive back on there so that i can finish burning this dvd? remember...computer illiterate,lol........

I use a laptop on wireless network right now. I'm not usally docked onto my docking station and even if i was its still wireless there as well. I want to have access to my external drive i'm considering buying from my router. So pretty much i want to have access to my external drive from my home network. That way i don't need to connect it to my laptop every time i want to use it. I haven't bought anything yet can anyone guild me on what to buy?

but they still don,t. I have reinstalled windows xp three times in hope of fixing the problem but still no luck. I am just about ready to throw the pc out the back door. I still get two yellow question marks on my usb device and one on other device. I went into the bios and checked and usb is inabled. I formated my hard drive and reinstalled xp again and still can,t get usb to work. The usb plugs are built into my mother board and plug into the back of my pc.I cannot get internet explorer and cannot get on line, as long as those question marks are on the usb. What can i do now,people, besides shooting the pc. Also please keep in mind that i am learning as i go. I have some idea of how to get around on a pc, but its limited, so please keep it simple for a dummie like me. Thanking you all ahead of time because most of you have given me some good help in the past.
