I just want to get a half decent one to use when my sister calls on Skype - doesnt have to be particularly hi-tech. I saw a brand new one on ebay for £1.99 but surely this is too cheap?! How many pixel things should I be looking at?

hi i'm trying to burn cds from realplayer but my internal disc drive is not working properly so i bought a external drive but when i plug the usb in my realplayer doesnt show the external drive but my computer does recognize it so i'm very fustrated right now

I am looking for an external DVD burner that will burn movies for my own personal backup. I usually buy a movie then burn it and sell the original to save money. I have bought a Liteon burner from Wal-Mart and I use it on my desktop. It works great, but I no longer own the desktop. I have a laptop now so I need an external burner. I bought another Liteon burner this year and it would not burn any movies at all, so I took it back. When did they put this feature on there? Can anybody suggest a burner that will still burn any DVD?

Will running a game such as The Sims 2 from an external hard drive slow the game play down? I was wondering, because I have a very large external hard drive, but only 1 gig left on my internal drive. I can't figure out what to move off of the internal drive, so it would probably mean deleting programs. Should I try to move other things to make room on the internal drive, or just install to the external drive? Will gameplay be noticably different?

The hard drive is connected to my computer via USB 2.0.

i have direct x 9.0b but i want 9.0c how can i do it ? do i have to uninstall previous one first?if yes from where can i uninstall this? would there be any problem to the pc? i tried installing earlier but it said ur graphics card or something like that...does not support this.what to do exactly with this problem?

small cameras (spy cam) the receiver output is an rca jack is there any way to convert this. Does anybody know if it is possible to use one of these wireless cameras as a web cam any good websites on hacks or anytihng else would help.

I am thinking of getting a Creative Audigy 4 sound card, and I was wondering if there would be an audible difference between sound produced by that versus my motherboard sound. Not technically a difference, but a real, audible difference.

We bought a Dell Dimension B110 for our kids. They are elementary school age and just need it for homework, games and internet. However, they can't run any of the games we've bought them like Lego Star Wars or Disney/Pixar Cars because our graphics card apparently doesn't support them (pixel shading, etc.). The card that came with the system is an Intel 82865G. What do I need to buy and can I add it myself? They are just kids who want to run some basic games, so I don't want anything that costs more than the system itself or requires a visit from the Geek Squad to install. ;-)
