My 80GB hard drive is full so I need more storage. Is an external portable USB connected hardrive the best solution to my problem. Any brands to look for or avoid?

USB hard drives are ideal for extra storage, especially when it comes to media including pictures and music and video. Western Digital is a fairly reliable name in hard drives and has been my choice for the better part of a decade.

well you should go with the i think 80gb external hard drive thats what i did with my computer...o and if you end up buying it transfer all the extra stuff like your songs on there and that will open you some extra space!

what a stupid answer, he obviously needs a PORTABLE hard drive. Listen dude, just pick the portable hard drive that has the features you need, whether it be firewire, usb, or both.

Just get a normal harddrive and install it into your computer, a seagate is pretty good.
