I want to hook my portable external hard drive to my portable dvd player
so I can play movie files through my dvd player. Is there a cord or adapter device athat can make this possible? I already know about potable dvd players that already have a usb port on them I am trying to avoid buying one.

I'm using a laptop. OS is XP SP2. 40GB external. I've been using my external hard disk for almost a year with no problem. But a couple of days ago, my external icon don't appear in MY COMPUTER. It detect the external and beeps like normal. And also i can't safely remove hardware like always. I even test it on other computers but the results is just the same. All my important data are inside it. How do i recover the data?? Someone help me please...

OK so my little ball in my dell mouse that came with my computer was haveing trouble going down, like just to make a small move to the right or down it would well slmot get stuck. so i tried to swtict the little balls with my familys downstaires comupterand the donwsatres one works find with the dell ball and mine seems to be working ok so far. (its a radioshake mouse) . should i buy a new mouse.. or am i ok with the change? is that same bad? just drop me some info thanks

I will be living in an apartment for a short amount of time, and I will have access to neighbors' unsecured wireless networks. However, having been there before, I know that my laptop's internal wireless card is relatively not that great at getting strong signals (others' laptops have worked better). I am wondering if there is something I can install on my laptop that will increase the signal strength of a nearby wireless network. That is, I am looking for something that I do not need to install on the actual router that makes the signal better. Is a wireless antenna (like that listed below) what I am looking for? Or should I purchase a new wireless adapter? Thank you so much!

If a USB 2.0 hub is also "backward compatible" with 1.1, does that also mean (in addition to the fact that USB 1.1 devices will work when plugged into the hub) that it will work if plugged into a 1.1 port? I basically want to make sure that if I purchase a USB 2.0 hub, it will work ok with my USB 1.1 port. Thank you!

and would it be enough to justify the cost. I have a 3000+ right now and want to go w/ the 4000+. I have also been looking at a dual core. I would need a new board because my current board can only take a 3200+ x2 or an fx up to 2.4ghz. Is it worth the extra money? Any opinions welcome. Thanks
