Flash RAM not functioning's because the windows it self didn't have the driver. This will solve your problems :)

Get the driver for it. Most Win98 systems do not have the power to run XP properly. Your processor will be too slow (for decent performance in should be at least 800 mhz), you will have insufficient RAM (you most likely have 64, you need a minimum of 128 with 512 being the sweet spot) and you will need a larger hard drive (you really should have at least 20G of open space). WinXp will run with less of the above but very slowly and will be prone to freezing.

You can either go to Widows update site and find the update there. Or, I guess the best choice would be updating your Windows to XP.
