Manual focus. Twist the lens to focus.

Dirty lens. Clean with lens cleaning tissue.

Packing material still on cam. Remove it.

After you get done cybering with your web pals, you should wash your hands before you put away your web cam... Clean the lens and stop doing that or you'll go blind!

I don't know which particular model of cam you have. Their must be some sort of focus ring around the lens.
