How do I talk into the microphone so what I say is typed on to the computer screen automatically?

I have a retail PC (gateway GT5056) & want to know if I can change the mainboard & still use the OEM processer. I wan to be able to upgrade, & if possible, rebuild the computer over time as the high end parts prices eventually go down.

Does a computer with onboard video automatically adjust the OS's ram when a stand-alone video card is installed?

I have onboard video that utilizes a portion of my installed ram, which is 1gb, it's currently registering 896mb. Will I have to make adjustments in the BIOS for the ram once I install a stand-alone video card, or is it done automatically once the card is put into place?

I would also want to what power supply to buy. And can there be a power supply add-on? Or do I have to replace my current one because I have know idea how to do it.

About 3 years ago I bought a MaxTor 250Gig Ex-HD on ebay. It only had a 'fine-wire' connection and a two-prong cord I had it hooked up to my old computer and have a lot of stuff on there. I got this PC in 2005, hooked it up to this and all was fine until one day the computer wouldn't recognize the drive. The light, on the HD, was on but the fan wasn't spinning? I unplugged it, restarted & plugged it back in. Now the fan started spinning but, stupid me, thinking it would work from then on I just left things there. It worked for a day or two and then failed again. The on light is always on but the fan hasn't spun since then. I then heard bad things about MaxTor, they're cheap & fail often. So I went back to evilbay & bought a Western Digital Ex-HD 300Gig with a 3-prong cord. This one has both fine-wire 1396 port & USB 2.0 ports I'm using the 2.0 now. The old one had 35% free space, I had it loaded till there was only 16%, but transferred files to my desk top. There are still files on the MaxTor that I hope to save, pics, jokes and lyrics. But the MaxTor website was no help. Is there a way I can fix it, or can I bring it to Radio Shack or another computer store and have them put the files on CD's?

ok, so i got on my pc, and my speakers are lit up but are not making anysound. the volumeon my pc and on my speakers are not the problem. my headset is not working either. any idea's?

i could not able to add the 256 mb sd ram in the other module of mercury motherboad.! company is HYNIX.

MY SYS CONSISTS OF:-
windows xp sp2
64 mb sd ram
intel celeron processor 601 mhz..
please tell me how can i add the above RAM IN the second module
when i add the 256 MB RAM
"WINDOWS COULD NOT START D:\ XPRTM\....ASDPI.... PROBLEM AN UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURED"

Have an extra 2.5 laptop hard drive. Bought a masscool enclosure case. Installed the hard drive, pluged in the "plug and play" usb. Windows xp balloon pops up saying "New hardware found: Disk Drive".
The Add Hardware thingy pops up saying that it can not install the disk drive, then the whole process starts over. I click on the balloon, the screen pops up, I click finish. Repeat, Repeat. So what do I do?

I'm planning to upgrade the memory of my CPU but i'm having doubts if i add up a 512 mb memory with a 256 mb memory module already, i mean will it crash or something if i add a different mb of memory?

I asked this question before but didnt get the answer i was looking for. I want to know what an expensive video card has and does that makes it any better that a $50 card. Will the graphics look any different on the two cards.

Right now I have integrated ATI Xpress 200. I want to know if buying a GeForce 7600GT is worth it. What will be different on my computer if i buy this card. Will the picture be any different? If I max out my settings on my ATI playing half life 2 and compare it to maxed out settings on the 7600 will it visually look any different.

What i'm tring to say is when i play cs source or half life 2 will the picture that a see be graphically better with a more expensive card or is the price dependant on the clock speed, memory and memory speed, and brand.

i have an asus a7v333 mobo. and i was wondering if a sata card will run as fast as an integrated one on a mobo or is it slower or the same. hopefully the same cause im planning to buy a sata or sata II card for my mobo so its faster. will i notice any perfomace than with what the hd im using right now which is a WD ata100 40gb 7200rpm 2mb cache? thank you
