Linksys and Dlink both make good cards in the $40-$60 range. You want an 802.11g. It is faster than the 11b, and will work with the older 11b networks. You should be able to find them anywhere that sells electronics. Got my last one at Wallmart.

If you do not have, or are not sure if you have, a PC card slot, then buy a USB card. You will have at least one USB port on the laptop.

linksys and D link are probably your best choice. Airlink is cheap for a reason. Rule of thumb is go with the brand that is most commonly used which is most of the time linksys. Check techbargains.com for any sales and ebay and pricewatch.com are also excellent places to get expensive cards at cheap prices! Hope this helps! You find a card look for its reviews on the net, youll be pleasantly suprised at the information you will find.

I have a linksys and it is great, absolutly no lag. Now before u buy make sure ur wireless card is G or B or G/B depends on what your router is. Otherwise i suggest u go with linksys and get one from Best Buy or Circuit City not Radioshack. That is what I did. I hope this helps :)
