My computer doesn't have another slot for a second VGA, so is there a way to install it? Do I have to install anything external?

I have a PCI slot used for installing modems and objects of the like.

You mean you have no AGP slot? I am assuming you have on-board video and lack an AGP slot for an aftermarket card.

Get a PCI card preferably nvidia!
Disable the on-board video in the bios.

well if you replace the motherboard, you can get one with the slot. In terms of practicality, I don't think it's very practical. My computer didn't have AGP, so I just got a PCI one, but it's nowhere near as good as what AGP or PCI Express can do in terms of graphics.

Not without some kind of a slot, either PCI or AGP

Probably something external "if" possible( I dont think there is any external cards)... are you sure you dont have a single AGP or PCI slot open...?

Use scotch tape. It won't work but neither will a card without a slot for it.

If you have onboard, then you can't really install another one anyway.

Yes there is some god-awful bus hack into your on-board controller.

It would be easier and cheaper (?) to buy a new motherboard.

you would have to remove the previous graphics card.
