Nvidia's GeForce Go 6800 Ultra seems to not be sold anymore and instead, a bunch of other video cards are sold in the 8800s...
...how can I tell if those video cards would work in place of the 6800 or not?

when i go to turn on my pc, nothing happens on the computer screen. I checked the video card in another computer and it works. What else could be the problem? The computer turns on, all the lights and fans turn on but the screen just stays black.

I'm thinking of buying a 1000 watt power supply for my computer, i have an intel quad core, radiator with 3 fans outside the case, 4 120 mm fans inside the case, pump, 2 sets of UV Cathode tubes, 2 hard drive, dvd drive. can I convert the extra PCI Express and Sata connectors to molex 4-Pin for the fans if needed?

Okay I've searched alot of websites and I've still havent found a solution. I have an HP Computer Maybe 1-2 years old. Everything was working fine than my CD-Rom doesnt work than a few days later it starts working again. Than maybe 4 months after that my mouse is having problems. I was playing a Game and my Ball mouse just froze up so i restarted my computer and no luck. So I thought it was just old and replaced. So i Plugged in my Logitech bluetooth mouse(laser) it works to some extent. It works for maybe 30 seconds (if i keep moving it around) Than stops. and if i wait awhile it works again for awhile and freezes up. I tried System Restore all my USB Slots. Batteries are fresh.. any other ideas??

I opened the casing to my Ps/2 keyboard and it had an extra Yellow wire that a usb cord does not have.

Would i be still be able to rewire and make it functional?

My computer main drive (C:) has only two gigabytes of memory with 1.88 GB already used. This must be a glitch or something so I want to switch to my drive (F:) because that holds up to 74 GB. Yet i can't find out how to. I've tried looking online but the instructions are too confusing so could someone tell me how to switch them but not speak too much "computer" talk because i don't understand that kind. Please respond ASAP!!!

I have a computer which has an Athlon XP 1.4GHz processor, Gigabyte 7VTX motherboard, Windows XP and 512MB of RAM. I have seen an good offer to upgrade my computer memory to 1GB of RAM but I was wondering if I would really notice any speed improvements if I did. a couple years ago my computer somehow set itself on fire and i put it out and i salvaged the disk drive and this memory chip i put in in an old box because its useless to me now because i only use laptops now and my sister has a desktop that is running a little low on memory and i was going to give it to her but not before i find out everything i can about this chip here is what i know about it

1.it came from an old e-machine desktop
2.there are two stickers on it the first says ITEM# 941325
3.the second says simple tech 98000-00167-001c000326
4.it has eight smaller chip on each side of it with one realy small chip on the one of the sides

I have a 3800+ singlecore 939 with 2x512mb DDR sticks (one 2100, other 3200) resulting to run at a ddr2100 speed which is the slowest speed for DDR. I am thinking of getting a gig stick of ddr memory. Doubling my ram speed will of course make a difference in speed. Also, i am planning on upgrading to a dualcore as well, a 4000++ dualcore. Instead of spending around $40-60 on another stick of old ram or $100-200 on a new soc 939 cpu, i was thinking of getting a new mobo, cpu, ram all together, since modern computer components are very cheap at the moment and also are definitely faster! Those AM2 processors are very cheap, i can't believe my eyes, also a gig stick of DDR2 memory is only $25! About half the price of normal DDR memory.

However i am broke at the moment, so would it be a good idea to just buy another stick of ddr ram only? Or should i just wait it out and build a new computer all together later on?

im buying a laptop tomorrow on Black Friday (after thanksgiving sale) and im gonna hit up either Best Buy, Curcuit City, or CompUSA, and i have NO clue what to buy.
im only 16 and i dont know what a 2 duo prosessor is, or what wireless LAN, AMD turion, or anything! and ive heard some very bad things about Windows Vista.
