what can I use to measure the temperature of my BFG 7950 GT?
(my computer keeps restarting during intensive games like the crysis demo, so I think its overheating)

I don't think my power supply is the problem, its 500w, more than enough for a 7950 GT, and I clean out the dust regulary, so I think its my GPU is overheating.

Latest version of Speedfan also measures GPU temp and even charts it.

Try playing Crysis demo again with PC case OPEN preferably during cooler hours at night. Point an electric fan towards the 7950GT. If PC still restarts, problem could be something else. It could be due to an unstable power supply, unstable overclock, tight memory timings, etc. Test your PC for stability (8 hours minimum).

Hi Mate,
I'm not too sure its your graphics card causing the problem ... It sounds more like your CPU shutting down to stop it from over heating damage.
