From my research that SimpleTech Model number is:

PC133 Synchronous RAM 256 MB.

So if your sister's computer supports PC 133/100 Memory with the 2 notches and 168 pins then you can use it in her computer. If it fits and has the same notches then you can go ahead and plug it in. If it won't work then you will get error beeps. Good Luck HTH.

If you know the model of the old e-machine(like T-some#), then you can go to crucial.com, put in the computer info and you'll get info on the memory. I too had an old e-machine which blew up, it's a small world. The key in finding out if the memory is compatible is the # of pins like 184-pin DIMM. The site will tell you that, just click on a compatible memory chip for the e-machine. Pretty much, if it fits, there's a good chance it works. During startup, it will mention if the memory is detected. But if it been in a fire, uh...it might not be good. You could also look up your sister's comp. and see if they use the same memory.

That is a 256 MB stick of RAM with a 133 mHz clock speed. Should be fine to put in her desktop although it is pretty slow, so you may or may not see an actual improvement in her performance. Typically it is ok to have multiple speeds of RAM in one computer, but it may give you an error if you try to add this one in, so if it does, then just take it back out and give up.

You are going to have to take a picture of it and put it up or check emachines site for a manual. THe manual would say what kind of Ram it is.
