What is better and why?

My last two PCs that I built were on Asus main boards with AMD Athlon CPUs.
They were quieter and more reliable than my friends Pentium based PC's.

I built my current PC in 2002... so that puts it built somewhere in the computer equivilant of the Jurrasic period so it's time to upgrade.

I use my PC for Internet, Multi media and gaming.

PS. If I were to run an Athlon 64 x2 6000+ and a pair of Sli Gforce 7's would a 450W PSU be enough?

I understand that you don’t want to remove anything that the computer is actively talking to, but if it's just connected, receiving enough power to light the lights on it, removing it without "Safely Removing" shouldn’t mess it up, right?

This question might sound stupid but I just get paranoid about some things and think some things might go wrong.

My housemate's laptop DVD player won't let her change the region that it's set to anymore; after 5 changes, that's it. She has traveled a lot and made those changes, but now she's stuck with a DVD player that won't play any more disks. It doesn't look like there's anything that can be done about this. Why are they made with such a stupid restriction?

I want to upgrade my Ram on my computer. From (2 x 256mb ram = 512 mb ram) to (2 x 512 mb ram = 1 gb ram)

I buy my computer in 2001 (it was the high price computer at the time.)

Now I know I have SDRAM & DDR Ram but can't mix them togheter.

So I buy a 2 x 512 sdram pc133 (non ecc) 168 pin.

If my motherboard is to old... My 2 x 512 mb ram will change nothing compare to my actual 2 x 256mb ram??

Here is the only picture I got with my motherboard in :

You think it will fit ? and improve the speed?

THANK YOU!

Have you overclocked this cpu?
What is a good speed to shoot for with only the stock fans?
What settings did you change?

I'll be needing the printer for document printing and occassional photo printing. I am starting to like photography a lot, so I am looking for one that allows me to print photos easily (I only print a few favorite pics at a time, so I don't need to go to a kiosk). Price and durability is always a good thing.

So I got a new laptop, great. Got USB cable to connect to printer, fine. Found out that printer would NEVER work with Vista, whatever. Got new printer (HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One), like it a lot. Had to get different USB cable, okay, fine. Installed printer, but had to skip the step where I connect the USB cable -- it said that was okay and I could always do that later (I didn't actually have that cable yet).
Now, when I print for the first time every day, and I assume it would happen every time I turn the printer on again, I basically go through part of the installation process all over again; it doesn't let me just print. I now have (supposedly) my printer and 2 "copies", the newest of which is the "default" printer. I cannot even delete these printers, b/c when I drag all but the default printer to the Recycle Bin, it just says "deleting-offline" but they don't go away!!! Pretty soon I will have 179 "copies", and no way to get rid of them. Help!

I have just been to a shopping complex that specialises in selling computers and computer peripherals. You will be able to get anything you want for computers. This ranged from the complete desktop systems and the laptop systems to motherboards, harddisks, RJ45 wires and NIC cards.

I patronised one of the shops selling these products and what I saw amazes me. In it was piled high with products such as motherboards, computer casings and smaller items such as desktop hard disks and thub drive. It also sells RJ45 wires and floppy disks.

Why do you think the shop is stacked high with computer peripherals? These are not the normal computer products sort after by the average man in the street. They are computer parts, used mainly by computer technicians and computer manufacturers.

Who do you think buy such products? Do you think the average man in the street will buy a motherboard? In fact, I calculated that should I assemble a computer with parts acquired from the shop, it will cause more than a desktop I acquired from a computer shop.

In fact, it is not the only shop that does this. Many other shops in the shopping complex also do such similar businesses.

Who do you think they hope to sell their peripherals to?
