I paid for an expensive accidental coverage plan, and I would like to use it to get my old laptop replaced with a new one. For this purpose, I have to damage my laptop beyond any hope of repair. Any ideas?

if it has an accident clause, leave it on top of the car, back up it should fall and then run over it, if it is crushed to pieces it cannot be repaired. or take in the bathroom and run the bath and accidently knock it in the water while turned on, just don't be in the tub at the same time. Or the example that the sales associate used when I got my firs computer that if the kids accendtly put a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich inside of it they would still replace it. I guess read the clauses on the contract, and avoid doing those things but at the same time be creative and have fun.

Try blocking the fan that cools down the insides of the laptop. Then leave it on for a couple of days. The laptop will eventually start billowing smoke and burn itself out. This actually happened with my old laptop and I got a replacement for it.

Believe or not a spray for dog fleas. The mist of this spray is fine enough and moist enough to penetrate all the internal components and destroy all the circuitry.

Well if it doesn't have any major limitations on what it covers, have fun with it. Drop it from high up, run it over with a car, or something like that. You could even test out an etherkiller ( http://www.fiftythree.org/etherkiller/ ).

Wrap it in a towel ... then set it in the driveway....then drive over it... the towel keeps the tire tracks from being left and the dirt from getting on it. then say You had it at work and a HiLo ran it over.

I was going to say water damage, but there might be something about that in your contract. check your terms and conditions. If anything goes... well then... anything goes!

"accidentally" spill HOT water on it. like coffee. like a LOT of hot water.

or have your dog (if you have one) tear it apart.

or drop it down the stairs... a long set of stairs.

or just break the screen.
