Each time I attempt to start Oblivion, it says oblivion has stopped functioning correctly, and closes the window before it even starts up.

My specs are as follows:

Windows Vista Home Premium (build 6000)
1.73 gigahertz Intel Core Duo
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
118.46 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
65.06 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space
Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family [Display adapter] (2x)

I've even tryed to install Oldblivion which is supposed to help older computers run Oblivion, but the game still crashes before it starts.

the video card GeForce 7350LE im having a problem with it. It says 128MB and up to 623MB shared. What does this shared part mean? Does it mean that my card can go up to 623 MB? im confused D=

I have a Sempron 3000+ 2,0Ghz and an EVGAFX5500 AGP. I want a video card upgrade. I also know that my processor is very slow. What would be the best video card out there that I am not going to waste my money because of the bottlenecking of the CPU and the video card? help pls. since i got no JOB! I want to buy a cheap laptop, I can afford to get a 2.4 GH and a 2 G Ram with Built-in NVIDIA Geforce Go 8400M-G 256MB Supports up to 1GB Turbo Cache Technology Video,
will this be able to play OBLIVION, BIOSHOCK, and any other games with Oblivion graphics? , i dont want to buy a laptop that i will regret. Of course I can get a 3.0 Gh with good ram if its a PC, but i prefer a laptop so i can show my homework to my F.A.U teacher (MAYA 8) and bring it anywhere.

I currently use a laptop, and have had it for around 3 years now, and is a brick to carry around. I am considering getting a lightweight laptop for travelling, and keep this laptop permanently in my room, but it is having serious issues and is getting rather slow.
I would really like to know the pros and cons of laptop to computer, and what you think is best for an architecture course, and any spec information to guide me when I make my decision. I'm going to buy it in October, so am gathering ideas now... any help is greatly appreciated!

i have been looking at cpu for my new pc which i am building and im not to sure which to get

i got an amd 6400+ recently but my motherboard isnt compatible with it and i cnt find one tha tis on newegg =[

i prefer asus i guess from what ive read

what is the difference in the two? intel or amd?

i will be surfing the internet, downloading music, streaming videos (youtube), chatting (aim) school work such as applications like word excel publisher power point etc you get the point and i will also be doing a little gaming but not to much

i want this processor to be a good one so it last me a while.

Currently looking for a new computer on ebay and at a local shop. I'm used to just looking at the Ghz speed, but now things seem to have changed at intel and they have a heap of different 'types' of pentium. My Q is, which one is better ?? I'm looking at 2 on ebay, 1 is a D 925 dual core and the other is a D 935. Or at a local shop there is an E 2140 and a E 6420. I'm LOST ! ! It used to be so easy. Do I just look at the Ghz speed ? Cause some of them are around the 1.8 ish speed and some are 3.00 Ghz ish speed. Just looking at it the D processors 'look' faster, but are they ? Can anybody shed any light on this for me ? I've not bought a computer for years and everything has changed ! What does D, E, Q all mean ??? What should I be looking for ? Any tips, advise ?? Many thanks guys, Steve.

I currently have a Logitec Quickcam Express, which is pretty good. but i want to get a better webcam now, with a much better picture and mic included (my mic I use now was from Poundland lol)

They both work pretty good together, but I want to get a better one with better audio and video quality.

I have been on Ebay and there are 100's of them.

I don't mind paying up to about £40 for the best one I can get, but I am so stuck to which one I should get.

All the technical data is way over my head.

Pixels and all that, what do i need to look for??
