I currently have a Logitec Quickcam Express, which is pretty good. but i want to get a better webcam now, with a much better picture and mic included (my mic I use now was from Poundland lol)

They both work pretty good together, but I want to get a better one with better audio and video quality.

I have been on Ebay and there are 100's of them.

I don't mind paying up to about £40 for the best one I can get, but I am so stuck to which one I should get.

All the technical data is way over my head.

Pixels and all that, what do i need to look for??

All help is greatly appreciated

This is easy for you to remember, The more maga pixels the better the picture, I use the logitech quick cam 10 it has great pics, cheap easy to install was around $40.

For photography, more pixels are considered better; but if you are doing full-motion video over the web (especially if you do not have "fat pipe" a megapixel or two may be enough. A computer screen is about 480x640, which makes only 1/3 MegaPixel.

I would look for frame rate and resolution. Webcams can be baffling. Maybe the Philips SPC range might help you which has a 6 megapixel sensor on the top model.

The better the resolution ie amount of pixels the better the picture/screen will be-just like a digital camera.Hope this helps.

Look for 30fps high resolutions and lots of "effective pixels"
Here's over 100 to choose from. If one grabs your attention read the reviews from people who actually bought one to see how they liked or disliked it.

The more yellow "eggs" the better the reviews are.

well unless you plan on shelling out 2 to 3 hundred dollars your not going to find a cam with a mic thats any good. your best bet is to buy a nice little cam and mic.
