world my pc go faster if i put another memory chip or would just save more files ?

Generally YES. The bigger the RAM, the better is the overall PC performance. With big RAM, PC need not also access SLOW virtual memory often.

Take note that files are not saved in RAM but in the hard drive.

maybe, but no guarantees. the primary benefit to more memory is the ability to run more than one app at one time. if you are really under rammed it could speed you up.
if you're running XP you need at least 512K and 1 meg is nice/older OS will work well on 256K/vista needs at least 1 meg. more is better with all them. I've always gone for more memory than a faster processor.
1. you need to know what memory you have (it will have a name like PC2100/PC2700/etc. this determines the operating speed of the ram. you need to match that speed. if you buy 2 megs of 800meg ram and have 128 (or less or more) of a slower ram then it will ALL operate at the speed of the slowest ram.
if you buy it yourself and install it it's really cheap. you should be able to buy 1 meg sticks for $50 or less, and installing it is truly a snap.
