Your motherboard only supports DDR2 and NOT DDR3.

It is your relatively slow processor that could be bottlenecking your graphics card. Overclock your processor to at least 2.4Ghz or if you are not comfortable with overclocking, upgrade your processor to an X2 4600+ or higher.

If your motherboard can support ddr3 then you'll have no problem. Generally, motherboards with the p35 or 680i chipset are able to support ddr3 memory. However, there are no benchmarks or tests that show a significant increase in performance of ddr3 vs ddr2 worth the hefty price it takes to purchase the ddr3. So if I were you, I'd stick with ddr2 and just overclock.
