I'm selling the computer and want to reformat, but I can't locate the install disks. They buyer knows it's coming with no OS, but I still need to wipe the hard drive clean. Any suggestions?

I was thinkink of adding some more video power to my computer so i was thinking of buying a VisionTek RADEON X1550 256MB (Pci ). but when i went on the dell web site it said i have a Bus Type of 2.3:

so i was wondering if it would work. i am operating a Dell 3100 system, noting modified yet

Also could i add 1 Gb of ram with a 550 watt supply? TY

my usb ports are not working! i tried going into device manager uninstalling all the usb ports and reinstalling them again. i plug my mp3 player in and the mp3 player recognizes that its plugged into a computer but my computer doesnt reconize it. just like that my printer doesnt work also. I NEED HELP PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE

i bought lg monitor on 2004.upto 2 years it supported the 1024*768 resolution.but from one year its not supporting it...
wen i change res 1024*768 it displays"""out of frequency""""on black screen...after pressing esc it will come to 800*600...plzzzzz tell me the reason

I want to upgrade my hard to 1TB atleast to 2TB at most. It's on a HP zseries media center computer. Do you all think It's possible to upgrade it to that capacity. If not, any other media center which accomodates that much hard drive?

I want an external hard drive for use with my laptop. I will rarely access the hard drive and it wont be connected to my laptop. Does the hard drive need a constant power source, or can i just plug it in, transfer files and then leave it switched off in a cupboard somewhere safely?

My computer is vista and I have an HP F300 all in one printer/scanner/copier. The printer is working ok but the scanner is not working, I am unsure of whether the printer is compatable with Vista? I am pretty clueless about these thing, any advice would be great!! :)

hey, im not sure how, but somehow there is a smudge on the lens of my dlp projector, what do i clean the glass lens with? im a little afraid to jsut spray it with windex i assumed that there may be a special cleaner for it? any help wud be cool

Whenever i plug my belkin f5d7050 into my windows xp machine it is never detected. it used to be detected and worked fine but i started my computer up the other day and it says that the device is not connected when it is. i have tried everything form reinstalling the usb adapter to reinstalling my usb controllers. i just cant find a solution. in device manager i get a code 10 error. with both VGA and DVI inputs. My computer's video card is fairly old and only supports VGA output.

all I need to watch TV on my monitor?
The reviews are quite varied. I have a coaxial cable signal coming out of the wall (no need for a cable box or satellite or anything).

Is this the appropriate product? Should I upgrade my video card? Is the included software adequate or can you recommend something better?

I am familiar with the workings of a computer, but have never attempted a TV-to-PC project before and would like to know if I'm on the right track.
