my usb ports are not working! i tried going into device manager uninstalling all the usb ports and reinstalling them again. i plug my mp3 player in and the mp3 player recognizes that its plugged into a computer but my computer doesnt reconize it. just like that my printer doesnt work also. I NEED HELP PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE

There could be many reasons that your USBs not working.
First of all the drivers might not be installed or could be old.
Secondly, it might be turned off in the BIOS.
Another possibility is that jumper settings on the motherboard are not correct.

if the computer recognizes the player and printer then your usb ports are working as they should

try installing the right drivers... for the printer, and the mp3 player,,, nothing will work without the right drivers

The drivers are not installed. Use the drivers cd and install them. If you see them in device manager than you can unisntall them and then re-install by scan for hardware updates.

If you know your manufacturer, then you could download updated drivers. (Assuming you are using a PCI).

go to my computer and there is supost to be a drive
