I wanted to burn a CD with a movie, but it's too big for it. I don't have any DVDs, nor a place where to buy one.
How can I place the movie on 2 Cds?

download a video splitter from the net (like katz.cd) and then use it to cut the file into two files ... burn each in a cd...

It's very easy
All you have to do is to use any program used for editing videos such as the windows movie maker(Available with Windows XP) and split the movie to two parts or even more , and then burn each of the parts on a separate CD.

Sorry it doesn't work like that.
You need to purchase DVD's
Next if it happens to be a Commercial DVD Movie you will have to do a Google search to find the correct software to do this.
Be sure you use DVD-R Media not something different.
The reason it won't fit is because of the software you are trying to use.
The software you need will have the ability to compress larger projects like 7gb to fit on a standard 4.7gb disc.

you can download movie splitter (as someone already said) or split it with free program VirtualDub :
