I found this and I have a question,I have 320 RAM on my computer. 128+128+64.
But I was told that "all the memory sticks in your machine will run at the speed of the slowest stick installed."
So should I remove the 64 RAM stick?

Specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+2.7ghz
Nvidia 7800 SLi 256mb, 2 gb ram, 430 watt PSU, and Windows xp Pro.

So my computer has been overheating and freezing for awhile, I had gone through many steps to find out the problem by reinstalling software, reconnecting hardware, cleaning dust from internal parts and bought a new PSU but still to no avail.

I just ran a stress test from Prime95 and set it full fft's, and it was running at 100% CPU usage and it's froze within a minute. After, I checked it's temp and it was at 76c, motherboard was fine 40c.

It just overheats when using a lot of power, like when burning a cd, playing a graphics intensive game, or simply watching a video. Most times it ends up at 58c from the boot up, to 80c right when you start using a lot of power.

is it possibly a hardware failure? Please offer any suggestions on what to do if you can.

Thank You

Last night I burned a dvd using nero and check the box for shut down when burn complete. This morning when I went to turn my computer on it would not turn on completely. I can get power to my dvd burner and my hard drives but I don't get any power to my keyboard, my usb ports, or any of my other pci devices. The light for the power button does not even turn come on. I have attempted to unplug everything and plug everything back in without much success. i tried unhooking everything but my hd and keyboard with no success. It's weird becasue when i turn the computer on i can hear the dvd spin, the hdisk boot up for a bit but then it just sits there and nothing shows up on the monitor. It's a 2 year old gateway computer.

Recently, I changed my old Nvidia Geforce 6800 Video Card for an Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT. The instructions manual said I had to uninstall my all my old drivers, so I did. I booted up my computer and noticed all the startup screens as normal, but when I reached the login screen, my monitor said "Out of Range" I did have a problem where my computer cannot support resolutions below 960x600, dunno why. I already tried pressing F8 before the login screen to change the settings to Safe Mode, but 1. My computer cannot support 680x480 (Safe Mode resolution) and 2. My keyboard for some reason doesn't turn on before the Login Screen. The only possible way I could think of getting on my computer and changing the resolution is visually click on things and hope a miracle could occur, but thats really hard for me to do. If anyone has an alternative way they could show me, That would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, I just bought a new HP Pavilion notebook with 1.6 ghz duo Turion 64 Processor with Windows Vista pre-installed a few weeks ago and I've noticed (using the CPU meter sidebar tool) that my RAM usage is always 60-80%. I've compared it to my PC which usually only has about 20% of its RAM used. I have nothing running that my PC isnt running (using task manager) and it's always very high even on a fresh boot. Is this normal or should I get it checked?

Thanks everyone

I am currently having 2 x 512 DDR2 SDRAM. The thing is I'm seeking cheaper alternatives cos the ones sold by HP/Compaq are damn expensive. I wanna upgrade to 2 x 1G RAM. My Compaq model is V3113TU. Apparently I have searched online and I didn't get the answer.

lines appear and vanish ;reduces & decreases itself for no apparent reason, could this be a graphic related fault.Earlier I use to doubt if there were magnetic field (cell phone) causing the problem, since there is no such reason ,I wonder how could this be fixed.....?

Ok, recently my computer had a virus so to fix it me and my friend wiped windows after saving all of my stuff to a flash drive. We got everything working right again (internet, drivers, etc.) but one problem bothers and eludes me. We can't upload my files back because my computer won't read the flash stick (or any flash stick, even my camera card) through the USB ports. I checked "My Computer" and saw that it only has my hard drive (disc C) when it usually has a bunch of removable discs (a, b, g, h, whatever) since it doesn't have these I assume thats the problem. If that is the problem, how do I fix it? and if that isn't the problem, can anyone tell me what is and how I can fix it? Thanks a lot in advance
