Last night I burned a dvd using nero and check the box for shut down when burn complete. This morning when I went to turn my computer on it would not turn on completely. I can get power to my dvd burner and my hard drives but I don't get any power to my keyboard, my usb ports, or any of my other pci devices. The light for the power button does not even turn come on. I have attempted to unplug everything and plug everything back in without much success. i tried unhooking everything but my hd and keyboard with no success. It's weird becasue when i turn the computer on i can hear the dvd spin, the hdisk boot up for a bit but then it just sits there and nothing shows up on the monitor. It's a 2 year old gateway computer.

Try unplugging the system and let it set for 10 min. Plug it back in and see if it boots.

I agree with both below...

Remove the power completely from the computer. Unplug it from the wall or power strip and let it set for 5 or 10 minutes.

This may or may not work but it's always worth a try.
