Experimenting with the sata data cable for my hard drive and stuck it into the third sata slot. Unfortunately I now can't get it out! I don't want to break anything by tugging too hard, so how do I get it out?

Alternatively-Will the hard drive still work if it is plugged into the third sata socket rather than the first?

I have a Lite-On 52x32x52 CDRW & 16x DVD-ROM IDE Drive, which I recently installed. When I rip a CD into iTunes, the rip speed starts well, then slow down with every song. It burns CDs quickly, but the rip speed concerns me. Anybody have any advice?

I know its a silly, generic question but come on. I can almost buy a new printer (which comes with new cartridges BTW) for the cost of both of my cartridges. Is the printer considered free or something? Wouldnt it be better to just go out and buy a new printer everytime you need new cartridges?

I have a problem with my monitor on my laptop. When I turn on my computer the display screen is so dark that the only way I can see the icons is to hold the computer under a lamp. I tried the brightness keys (fn + f2) to no avail. I have connected my laptop to a desktop monitor. It works perfectly. Please help me restore my laptop monitor.

I did a error y'day, but checking never stopped even after 6 hours of continious checking .I tried to restart my laptop but it got hanged.Then I took out its battery and restarted it in safe mode ,then it loaded windows ,but it took so much of time .
Since then windows is taking time to load.

I am a teenager entering high school. I mostly use my computer for talking to my friends, surfing the internet, listening to music, designing simple graphics on Paint Shop Pro X, and doing Powerpoint presentations and papers for school.

I want to buy a Mac, so please do not say 'buy a dell' or 'PC Rocks' or something that doesn't help me at all.
Also, I want it to be portable, with wireless capability.

For my purposes, which one will be more useful to me? A Macbook, or a Macbook Pro? Any other tips or suggestions?

I got this computer as a second hand,the previous owner used it for office work.when i try to download any softwares it says that i don't have the permission.I tried creating a new user account but if then it say something about the administrator of the computer.Even the previous owner said that he doesn't know how to remove it so i'm using his old password.If i reformat my computer will the old account be erased ?

I shall be buying a new laptop shortly, but before i do, out of the spec's which one would you go for as i'm not sure which would be the fastest spec, more cache less ram, or less cache and
more ram .

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHZ with 2 MB Cache and 1 GB ram or
AMD Turion X2 1.6GHZ with 512 x 512 cahche and 2GB ram?
