Hello, i have first disabled my graphics card in my device manager, then i put the graphics card in and tried to load it by plugging my monitor cable, and when i turn it on, it still loads from my onboard graphics card. I already know that my card is PCI e and i have a slot for it, and i should disable my onboard card which i already did, and im completely lost, all i get is a black screen, and i need to switch the monitor cable back to the onboard one :( HELPP!!!!!!!!

I have a computer which will turn on, but for some reason, I can't get it to communicate with the monitor. I tried switching monitors and also the card which the monitor connects to. The monitors work when connected to my other computers, so I know that the problem isn't with them. I need to get my Favorites off of the computer which will not work. How can I go about doing that? Can I connect the motherboard somehow to another computer and use the other computer to access its files?

Hi I have a Dell Dimension 8200 which uses the RDRAM modules. I have been trying to upgrade from the current 256 MB but the RDRAM is so expensive. I want to know if i can use any other froms of memory like DDRAM or SDRAM.

I am considering buying an AMD athlonX2 5200+, but I have a question, how come an AMD athlonX2 5000+ is more expensive than a 5200+?

i saw it on tigerdirect... a 5000+ is $312.99, but a 5200+ is $246.99
I thought the greater the number = the more powerful of the cpu
or am i wrong?

what can i buy to remove thermal paste from my CPU? i'm thinkin go not using the thermal paste and using a thermal pad instead. also what can i not use to remove the thermal paste? alcohol? nail polish remover? hair spray? i have no clue.

My lcd screen had quite a few cracks in it so I ordered a replacement on ebay (checked the part number and everything). After installing the new lcd screen, I tried to turn my laptop on but it just kept restarting itself every 5 seconds. The screen doesn't even light up or anything. I reconnected my old lcd screen and my laptop functioned normally. So what could be wrong with the new lcd?

the first one is "energy efficient," can anyone explain it to me? how much can I actually save?

The first one was on sale yesterday, so it is gone. now I can only buy the second one for a lower price, the first one has about 2.x ghz, the second is at 3.2 ghz.

i wonder if the second is actually faster than the first one? the first one has dual core though.

I saw a special on Tiger for $59 (after 40 rebate) for a xfc 512MB 7300 GT PCI-E card. I currently have an nvidia 128MB 6600 GT PCI-E. I was looking at the specs and it looks like the 6600 performed slightly better than the 256MB versions of the 7300GT.

I know the 7600 GT is the model to get in that line, but I don't really want or need to spend the money. I am getting 60-70fps with most of the games I am playing now at decent resolution. (1028x768)

Just seemed like a good deal at first when I saw the 512 MB.

Is my 6600 GT a better card than I thought it was? I had an ati x300 SE before that and it was a dog.

I was reading some reviews and they said too many people look at the memory size of the card and not the rating.

ok so check it.
i wanna save some space on my 200GB HD (i only have 10 GB left) so i decided to store some stuff on DVD

I intend to store them as regular data (not movies or anything) and the local store has only the 4.7 GB DVD-R & 4.7 DVD+R.

it's sorta a library i'm creating so i'm looking for the most durable, permenant is not an issue, and most compatable.

Can u plz help me with the difference between the DVD-R & the DVD+R ?

I have a Dell laptop, Inspiron 5100 and when I insert a movie I get an error stating DVD decoder not installed?? This is a DVD drive. Could this a driver issue? If so, I have been unable to find a link on the Dell website to update my dll's. Or, could this be the DVD drive?

This is a computer at work, where we have a program on server that we use to print our transaction receipts and what not. Yesturday we were printing a word Doc from the server and it stoped in the middle of the print. I ejected the paper, But the Document is Still in the printer Queue.

I have right clicked and selceted cancel sever times.. i have closed and reopened the server I have restarted the comptuter, turned off and turnd the printer On unplugged and re pluged the printer with no results. Now i Can print to the same printer when i am not On ther server, that printer queue is empty. But the printer queue visable on the server still has the Document.. it says it is deleting but it does not go away.

Can some one please help?
