I am looking to replace my outdated ATI Radeon 9600 AGP card with 128mb, with something faster and better.

Here's my setup:
Asus A7V8X-X motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 2800 (2.4GHz)
1 GB RAM/ Windows XP Home SP2
160 GB Hard Drive

And while I am open to trying Nvidia graphics cards, I'd prefer to stick with ATI if at all possible. Since I can't afford at this time to upgrade to the latest motherboard just to get PCI-E, I want to know which is the best AGP graphics card for games. Overall great performer. I don't want to go over $200, though. Thanks!

ok so everything was normal then i desided to watch a video and it was like it was in slow motion "ok my computers overheating" i said i let it cool but a day later videos are still in like slow motion does anyone know what's wrong????

I am buying a new Dell laptop, but am confused as to what size processor to get. I know I can upgrade memory and that stuff later (going with 1gb for now), but want to get the best processor now. It will definitely be a dual core processor and running Vista. So should I get the processor with 1gb cache or 2gb?

I've heard all of kinds of differing opinions on memory and Vista...any help is appreciated from this non-techy.

alright i need to buy a video card to play this game i like it says i need one with 32MB 3D video card with hardware T&L support i was wondering if this one would work one with 128 MB DDR memory my probablem is it doesnt say anything about 3D or hardware T&L, im confused please help

I recently heard a girl saying that she is going to get a laptop that has both Mac and Pc programs on it! She said it would have like word processing, and internet explorer, but it would also have imovie and garage band! I am dealing with this old motherboard. Albatron KX 600 Pro and I can't find the drivers for the audio chipset. It is very frustrating. I can't find the originals all I found are some pages "saying" that they have it but the don't.

I have googled the type of motherboard but so far nothing!

Are good generic drivers for this? I would appreciate it alot!

Well like in the past 2 weeks some color lines have been showing up on my Dell Laptop Computer..and Im not sure what it is...I mean..The screen is a little loose but i dont know if thats the problem or not so..Like does anyone know if theres something I can do...because i mean its not nourmal to have blue -n- red and light red random lines on the screen...Is there a way I can fix this....If so may someone PLEASE tell me how i would reeeaaalllyy appreciate it! The cord that connects the computer monitor to the computer. Most of them are blue. At the end of the cable that connects to the computer, there are these pins/needles. 3 rows of 5 pins/needles.

If a there is one pin/needle missing, could a pin/needle from a different monitor(different brand too) be put in place of it?

ALright ive got a problem with my second hardrive which is about 400 GB. Everytime i use a program or do something that thats pretty intensive....the damn hard drive just shutsdown the whole damn computer. The way i got my comouter set up is i got a 60 GB Main Hard Drive with my OS on it and the 400 GB as a storage/anything drive. Ive treied doing the same thing on the 60 GB drive and it doesnt crash or anything! THe problem is im outta spaec on that drive...

Any Guesses(sp?) as to what my cause this and how to fix it?

the monitor went blank and when I turn it on after shutting down couple mins, the fan noise from the processor and power supply were so loud and it didn't slowing down as normally. Also, the computer won't able to login it's like frozen or something. I did change the video card but still it didn't work. The monitor was plugged correctly also.

The LED doesn't light up but I have checked the wiring and it seems ok. Windows says the disk drive is ok - it isn't. Windows tells me there is no disk in the drive when there is. Windows asks do I want to format the un-formatted disk - I go through the procedure and windows tells ne it can not complete the format.

I HAVE checked bios and Set Up - everything seems to be in order. Once again, help, please!

And please note that I NEED the 3.5 floppy for special reasons connected with a QL Emulator. Thanks . . .
