hmm..Sounds to me like the computer isn't catching onto the new wire. Try system restore. It always can go back a week or so. If that doesnt work, you may need to call your nearest computer fix dealer

What hardware it shows can you breifely explain so taht we can answer. try changin the moniror cable with another new one and see.
