I am going to buy a laptop next month costing within Rs.1 lakh.
My model should be like this.....
i) LARGE screen
ii) Battery should work too long
iii) Should have 2 DVD roms, a reader and a writer.
iv) The screen should be clearly visible from any directon.
v) The sound intensity must be large.
v) The memory storage must be more than 80 GB.

Give me some suggestions of laptops along with their costs.

When I put my memory stick into my pc it freezes and I have to reboot the pc. This also happens with one friend's memory stick but not with another! Why? How can I get it to work?

I hit Start ... Stand By comes up on a little screen along with Shuting the computer down and Restarting it...I hit Stand By and it goes to Stand By for 1 or 2 seconds and snaps right back on to the screen. How do I get Stand By to come on and stay on?

I have used this memory card several times and never had a problem before. I thought it might have had too many pics on it so I deleted some, but still can't get them off. The ram I need for my motherboard is 200/266 MHZ DDR SDRAM 2.5 V (only) 184-pin .

I need to know if PC1600 DDR SDRAM 184-pin will be compatible with my motherboard.

I will be unbelievably thankful for anyone who can help.

This -5volts is usually very low amperage (0.3 to 0.5 amps.)

This negative 5 voltage was used in most HP and Compaq computers a few years ago....2000, 2001, etc.

But now, I noticed the -5 volt output does not exist in the new PSU's. But they still have the -12volt output.

Anyone know what the -5V output is used for in older PC's?

My CPU suddenly refuses to boot-up.
The power light is on and the cooling fan turns on too
The last time it was working fine I was using Windows media player which froze completely after I tried opening a media file (which was very abnormal as I have been using the file many times before) I have also noticed that although the power light in the front is working, the HD light does not blink. I am not much of a PC expert and any help/suggestions will very much be appreciated. Thanks

Ive never seen this before with my other computers, this one is brand new, and when I leave it on at night to burn a movie or something, I get up the next day and the screen is just black, no error messages no nothing, and I can press any button I want..no go, just stays black.The power button remains on...
