The AMD Athlon 2200+ has an actual clock speed of 1800mhz (or 1.8ghz).

Are you looking at the CPU ID or the clock speed ?

The 2200+ in the name is just a comparison. It's AMD's way of saying that the processor is as fast as as a 2.2Ghz Intel processor. In truth, it is clocked at 1.8Ghz.

I had that mobo...it should pick up your 2200+ automatically. Make sure the front side bus is set to 400mhz.

sounds like you need to set your FSB to 333MHz and that is is now set to 266MHz. Or the multiplier could be wrong, on some boards there is a jumper setting. Also you may need ti upgrade your BIOS

* maybe it is 400MHz I can't remember off the top of my head.
