i have 300 watt power supply and 7300 GT XFX VGA card (minimum power 350 watt )

but the graphics card worked quite well for a month then the colors started to blend and dots appear on the screen ....

so can the power supply cause this ? or the less power rating would have caused the card not to work in the first place ?

I just installed a Western Digital external HD today and everything seems to be fine.
On my first restart after installing HD I was given the option of going into BIOS and making some changes, I wasnt sure what I should do so I did nothing.
What I would like to do is set it up so that on startup I can choose wich drive to boot to because I plan on using it for backup as well as dual booting into Linux
Could someone please give me an idea what changes I need to make in BIOS to do this or can I do it manually during startup and HOW plz

Upon booting up my pc, it emits one long beep and two shorter ones.

The motherboard has an AMI Bios. It is manufactured by ASUS. Looking up the error, it appears to have a "Failure in video system. An error was encountered in the video BIOS ROM, or a horizontal retrace failure has been encountered."

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I have recieved "Page cannot be display,can't find server" messages.Spoke with Dell x2 they say computer system is ok talk to server. Spoke to server they had me delete cookies, temporary files and history then suggusted a full system scan which I did with windows live security, they said I had no viruses or spyware, registry did not need to be cleaned and 10.2 mg temporary files cleaned or compressed by 5.5 mg. I don't know what any of this means but the problem is still there. Anyone got any suggestions or help?

they both got lighscribe, do i need to buy some special paper for that or anything, or does it do itself?

the life of the thing, i don't understand, so can some one tell me if this is good or not :MTBF(Life)

and one more thing, i got many many movies on my computer and i need to burn them, so will i be able to make them into dvds with good quality? will they work into the ps2 or dvd player? which type is better DVD +R or DVD -R, keep in mind i need them on ps2, which one would you recommend?

I have Creative Labs sound blaster system and it crackles constantly. Reseting defaults in the sound blaster program temporarily fixes the problem but not long enough to even listen to a song and then the crackle is back. Whats wrong?

I just bought a used IBM Thinkpad T21 and it was working fine except for some battery issue but i am going to replace that but i bought a game to download in the laptop but once i downloaded the screen went black and although the laptop is on i cant see anything. After charging it a little more and leaving it alone for a while i was able to turn it back on but it froze.. and now its back to a black screen again..

Any ideas to why this happens and what i should do about it...?

I have just recently bought a cleaning kit for my LCD screen for my macbook; i bought the iKlear spray and wipe ...and when i wipe the screen dry it has a bunch of streak lines and now looks dirtier then it had been before i cleaned it =(

I have a program on my desktop computer which requires a 25 pin security dongle to be inserted in the parallel port.
I would like to be able to use the program on a new acer 3660 series laptop which I had for christmas but there is no parallel port.
The parallel port to usb converter cables I have been told by some will work and others that it won't.
Can anyone please let me know if they will work or if there are any other options, Thanks.

I printed a letter in the morning yesterday and when I tried to print out another letter later in afternoon, it would print out the whole page but leave out what I will call the guts of the letter! Has anyone got any ideas as to how to fix it? I was told that the printer is okay because it does print some and has ink, that it could be some kind of a security thing that I need to fix I would appreciate any help Thanks
